Mountain View Studio

A retreat in the green for nature lovers and anyone who needs quiet. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets, views of the sea and the mountains, and real wilderness around you. The studio sits on our private land right beside the Map of Africa viewpoint and paragliding launch, with access to the Kaaimans River, and bushbuck drop by now and then. Forget everyday life under a sky full of stars. Secluded, with no public transport.

The space

A two-room apartment looking out to the mountains: a bedroom with a queen-size bed or two single beds and its own shower room, and a fully open living area with dining table, kitchen and a single bed. Sliding doors lead from the bedroom to the garden, and the pergola deck with two timber tables and a gas braai faces the Outeniqua Mountains. The kitchen has an oven, stove, fridge and coffee machine.

Guest access

The studio is yours alone; the garden is shared with the Sea View Studio next door. Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace are included. On request you can also use a fitness area of about 12 m² on the terrace of the main house, with a soft floor, yoga mat, dumbbells, bench, gymnastic rings and a pull-up bar. There is private access to the Kaaimans River, and the paragliding launch is about 220 metres away on foot, right next to our land.

• Car required. Beach and village are about 5 km away; the last stretch is a well-maintained gravel road.
• Self-catering only. Nearest shops and restaurants in Wilderness, about 5 km.
• Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 10:00.
• Wi-Fi, smart TV and a desk for the days you need to work.
• Gas braai on the terrace.
• Cool winter nights? A small gas or electric heater on request.
• Genuine bush setting. Expect bushbuck, lots of birds and insects, and nature sounds.
